Poliovac Vaccination (Injectable polio) in Lucknow

Poliovac is a Poliomyelitis vaccine (Inactivated) indicated for the active immunization of infants, children, and adults to prevent poliomyelitis caused by poliovirus Types 1, 2, and 3.

The route of administration can be either intramuscular or subcutaneous injection.

The recommended immunization schedule includes IPV at 6-10-14 weeks of age and a booster dose at 15-18 months of age.

The composition of the vaccine includes:

• Poliomyelitis virus type 1, Mahoney strain: 40 D antigen units
• Poliomyelitis virus type 2, MEF-I strain: 8 D antigen units
• Poliomyelitis virus type 3, Saukett strain: 32 D antigen units
• Preservatives: 2-phenoxyethanol 2.5 mg and Formaldehyde 12.5 mcg
• Cultivated on Vero Cells
