Indication and Usage –

• EasySix is indicated for primary and booster vaccination of infants and toddlers from six weeks of age against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, hepatitis B, poliomyelitis and invasive diseases caused by Haemophilus influenzae type b.

Dosage and Administration –

• EasySix is administered by intramuscular injection.
• EasySix is recommended that 0.5 ml each of 3 intramuscular injections to be administered in the antero-lateral aspect of thigh with an interval of four weeks between doses, starting at 6 weeks of age.
• The Expanded Program on Immunisation schedule (at 6, 10, 14 weeks of age) may only be used if a dose of hepatitis B vaccine has been given at birth.
• A booster dose of DTwP, Hepatitis B, Hib and Polio is recommended at the age of 15-18 months.
• A reinforcing injection of the DTwP combination should be administered at 5 years of age.

Adverse reactions –

• In a randomized clinical study of EasySix in healthy infants following

adverse events were reported.

1. Very common side effects ( may affect more than 1 in 10 people )
   • Pain/ tenderness
   • Fever
   • Swelling
   • Redness
2. Common side effects (may affect up to 1 in 10 people )
   • Irritability /restlessness/fussiness
   • Vomiting
3. —Uncommon side effects (may affect up to 1 in 100 people)
   • Excessive sleepiness/ drowsiness
4. —Rare side effects may affect up to 1 in 1000 people
   • Large reaction at the injection site (larger than > 10cm) including

                             Pain/ tenderness and swelling

• High Fever >39.0 °C(102.1 °F) or higher
• Diarrhea
• Poor eating

Drug interactions and other interactions –

• EasySix can be given at the same time as other vaccines such as pneumococcal polysaccharide conjugated vaccines, measles-mumps-rubella vaccines or rotavirus vaccines.
• Your doctor will give the injections at different sites and will use separate syringes and needles for each injection.
